If the decision of the Grand Jury is the law it should be respected. It has been reported over the last few months that there are people who watch these sort of events and travel across state lines to engage in looting when the opportunity presents itself. Its not all local outrage. So sad really. So many seem to act against their own interests. Officer Wilson's tesitimony is available on CNN and worth a read.

Officer Wilson not indicted in killing of Michael Brown
by Simon inafter a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.
let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .

Ever notice how JW's can attend a talk or Convention and remember nothing?
by Wasanelder Once inhow many times have you asked a jw who has attended a public talk how the talk was, only to be told it was so great!
yet they cannot remember the title nor any one single point except that the brother was "funny" or was good with illustratiions or some other vauge point?
and conventions weren't far off either.

And conventions weren't far off either. It was always some "how close the end is" statement and not one bit of counsel on how to be a christian or other weighty matter? How about you? Was it like that for you? Did you take notes and actually have something to share or of benefit from the bragfest? Was it because there were no good points? Or were you zoned out?

Its ironic that he did everything in the marriage while alive and in death he may be paying her way. Hope she has to get off her ass at some point and wash a window.

Why do "Apostates/exjws" always go into "Watchtower-bashing" when you show them inconsistencies in the Bible?
by booker-t ini have noticed with "apostates/exjws" they always resort to "watchtower-bashing" whenever you show them inconsistencies of the bible.
we could be talking about contradictions, such as where did cain get his wife if adam, eve, abel, and cain were the only ones on earth?
the usual answer when they cannot answer will be "well the wt gave false prophecies in 1975".

Everyone knows that the Watchtower had the Bible written long ago so they could use it to dominate people. Remember Moses Russell? and Samson Rutherford? There was of course Rahab Knorr, the first wife of Nathan. Who can forget Jeremiah Henschell. They're all in there. And that's why the Bible is a silly book. Does that do it for ya? Give me a break. The storybook illustrated Bible had it right, a total comic book.

If there were no faithful and discreet slave until 1919,then what would the witnesses say if you were to show them these scriptures?
by label licker inrevelation 1:1 a revelation by jesus christ which god gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place.
and he sent forth his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave john,.
jude 1 jude, a slave of jeus christ .

People can be "Slaves" of thier desires. People can "Slave" for Christ. Does that make them the "Faithful & Discrete Slave"? Well since they have said that the FDS is a religious construct and not a person I guess anyone could be so long as they fit the construct they built. Reality says different. If any one of those "Slaves" of Christ were faithful they would quality I think. What do I know? I dont believe any of it anyway. Its their rules so I just apply them back at them.

What really woke me up: I started noticing most JWS are weirdos..
by kneehighmiah inthankfully my parents are converts so they aren't wierd.
seemed pretty popular by all accounts.
they are "popular" jws even now.

Though I agree with Blondie that weirdos are everywhere, the JW's seem to attract them en-masse. The desperate and the mentally deficient come running to the panda world message. Beyond that, with all the health food crazieness and suspiscion of the medical world they tend to be more on the high end of the simplistic mentality scale. If you can accept overlapping gnerations unquestionably, then you are weird. Even little minds feel big when they believe they are smarter than all the Bible scholars in the world with their Bible based truths.

Michael Brown verdict discussion policy
by Simon init's likely that the grand jury verdict on the michael brown incident will be released in the coming days or weeks.. i've no doubt many people are going to feel strongly about things whatever the verdict is.. whatever the outcome though, here's what's not going to happen:.
we're not going to put up with inflamatory language and comments designed to rile others up.
be respectful.. we will not allow accusations of racism simply because some have a view of the verdict that contradicts others.. there will not be invented evidence or claims being repeated - if it's been falsely reported or debunked then it's off limits.. it's not going to be an opportunity for people to air past gripes over past discussions.. if you feel that you cannot discuss the subject in a rational way then it may be better to simply avoid any topics on the matter.. please try to be objective and respectful if you do decide to comment and not keen to take offense.

We have to be careful not to overreact to words. The killing of Michael Brown was homicide though it remains to be seen if it was justifiable.
"Most states allow justifiable homicide to defend oneself or another from credible threat of serious crimes such as rape, armed robbery and murder."
The whole crux of the Michael Brown case is whether it was in fact a justifiable homicide or not.

Took the magazines in the waiting room and dumped them in the trash. Was a great feeling. To think many witnoids wont dare throw out the surplus magazines they have in stacks around the house is amazing. I was like that. Remember how they said that reading a magazine was like having "personal contact with the Faithful Slave?" What baloney. So, do you dump them when you see them, or are you one who bothers to put stickers on them to sites exposing WT falsehoods? Or ignore them altogether?
